As is mentioned throughout this website, Man was made in the image of God. At his creation, Man was holy, righteous, pure, and without sin.

At his creation, Man was also given free will, so that he could make his own decision and choose to love God, and he could choose to obey God.

It was when Man exercised his free will and made the determined choice to disobey God that sin entered the world.

Before disobedience, no opposite words needed to exist.

Where truth triumphed in all relationships, there was no need for a word to describe “not truth.”

Where interpersonal [rest with relationships among human beings] rest was the norm in all relationships, no word for “interpersonal manipulation” or “deception” was needed.

Where external [physical] and internal [emotional] peace reigned, there was no need for words to describe “not peace.”

Where kindness was demonstrated in all relationships, there was no need for a word to describe “not kindness.”

Where the concept of humbly serving others and prioritizing others’ needs above our own needs was the practice, no words for “pride,” “self-centeredness,” or “selfishness” were needed by Man.

The Bible points out that, before sin, Adam and Eve were naked and not ashamed.

Genesis 2:25
25 And the man and his wife were both naked and were not embarrassed or ashamed in each other’s presence.

Immediately after sinning, our first parents experienced fear, shame, and nakedness.

Genesis 3:6-11
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she gave some also to her husband, and he ate.
7 Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves apronlike girdles.
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
9 But the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, Where are you?
10 He said, I heard the sound of You [walking] in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And He said, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?

Father God designed Adam and Eve to live in perfect love, His perfect love. They were to have lived eternally welcomed and secure in their Father God’s love and acceptance.

Further, Adam and Eve were to have lived their lives preferring others over themselves, serving others in humility, purity, and sincerity.

James 1:15
15 Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.

Disobedience brought two kinds of death.

At the moment that Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit, their bodies were destined for physical death.

Far, far worse, the relationally pure [a relationship that had no lies, deception or manipulation], child-like relationship they enjoyed with Father God died.

Upon sinning, they were hurled from their joyful life of peace and interpersonal rest [rest in relationships].

In an instant, they faced the awful realities of life without the continual stream of wisdom, nurture, acceptance, and love flowing freely toward them from their loving Father.

Suddenly, their choice to disobey meant that now they would have to face life alone.

Imagine for a moment how absolutely shocking it must have been for Adam and Eve to learn that their peaceful, joyful existence could never occur again.

To not have known what sin was and then to be bombarded with its terrible realities and terrible consequences must have prompted unimaginable terror — and terror was only one of the emotions attacking them at that moment.

Had Adam and Eve not sinned, no insecurity connected with relationships would be experienced in this world. There would never have been a need to describe these feelings or speak of them.

Words like “emotional security,” “belongingness,” “sense of welcome,” “acceptance,” and “knowing we are loved for who we” would not have needed to be defined.

We would not think we need to “perform” to “earn” love.

Had they not sinned by disobeying God, there never would have been words to describe interpersonal manipulation or deception.

There never would have been words for insecurity, rejection, and loneliness.

To make matters much worse, Adam, the one to whom God gave the command, the one in authority, shifted the blame of disobedience from himself.

Adam first blamed God for creating Eve, and then accused Eve, taking the attention off himself when he said, “The woman whom You gave to me, she … .”

Genesis 3:12
12 And the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me—she gave me [fruit] from the tree, and I ate.

Adam’s sin of blaming others for his own choices has carried on through the generations.

The foundation of blame is pride. Pride conceals shame using a covering of lies, deception and interpersonal manipulation.

When the sins of pride, blame, shame, deception, and interpersonal manipulation enter any relationship, fear results from all the lies.

To learn how God uses His Truth to calm fears caused by interpersonal sin, go to the section called He Never Fails You.

To learn that it is impossible for God to lie, continue reading here.

satan is known as the Father of Lies. He formulates strategies and schemes to cause us to believe lies about God, about our loved ones and others with whom we are in relationship, and about ourselves.

John 8:44
44 You are of your father, the devil, and it is your will to practice the lusts and gratify the desires [which are characteristic] of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.

satan begins his strategies when we are very young. Sometimes he starts building the web of lies before we are even born. He causes us to doubt our parents’ love for us, and then, later, to doubt God’s love for us.

He manipulates [changes circumstances with intent to harm] circumstances to deceive us into thinking that we are not loved, respected, or valued.

He works hard to arrange situations so that people closest to you speak things that are not true and hurl them toward you like bullets, swords, or daggers.

The most emotionally painful attacks are ones that focus not on what you do but instead focus on who you are.

  • “You are so ugly.” “You are so fat!” “You are so stupid.”

  • “You are disgusting.” “You are an absolute failure.”

  • “You’ll never succeed.” “You’ll never ____________.”

  • “How could anyone love a person as ___________ as you?”

[Can your painful memories fill in these blanks?]

Because you were only a child when lies of this type were being hurled at you, you believed many of them.

Not only did the Father of Lies cause others to believe lies about you, he caused you to believe lies about you.

Proverbs 12:18
18 There are those who speak rashly, like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

In some English versions of the Bible, this verse ends like this: “ … but words of wisdom heal.” The most life-changing wisdom is found in the Word of God, the Bible.

God did not create Wisdom. Wisdom is a part of His eternal Being.

He has brought you to this website to speak His Wisdom and His Truth to you, and as you discover His Truth and discern His Wisdom, your soul will experience His Healing.

satan especially works hard to so stain the word “father” in our minds. Why?

Ephesians 3:15
15 For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name].

The English Amplified Bible clarifies this verse with “…that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name.”

No matter how excellently our fathers treated us, because they are human, they made mistakes. All human error has the potential of wounding our souls.

Over time, especially when combined with unforgiveness, the memories of these offenses grow; they expand in our memories and often become much larger than what actually occurred.

When we learn that God names Himself our Father, in our minds we mistakenly, fearfully assume that God will hurt us in the same way our human fathers hurt us.

In response to pain, we constructed emotional defenses against our human fathers, and, thinking to protect ourselves from further pain, we erect emotional defenses against God.

One pastor counseled, “Spiritual growth is the process of replacing lies with truth.”

God, Who names Himself your Father, wants to replace those lies you’ve believed with Truth. His Truth.

As you spend time discovering the Truth of God’s Word, God’s Spirit will help you journey from darkness into light.

2 Corinthians 4:4
4 For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.

When God’s Spirit leads you into Truth, He methodically highlights the differences in love offered by human fathers and contrasts their imperfect love with the Perfect love ever streaming toward you from your Perfect Father.

As you will learn in the section called His Pure Love, the love from Father God is pure and free of manipulation, self-serving, or any other sin-based motives.

John 3:33
33 Whoever receives His testimony has set his seal of approval to this: God is true. [That man has definitely certified, acknowledged, declared once and for all, and is himself assured that it is divine truth that God cannot lie].

After all, it is impossible for God to sin, manipulate, or lie.

Consider for a moment that the one named earlier as “The Father of Lies” is not God’s opposite.

The Bible tells us that originally satan was an angel, a being created by God.

satan rebelled against God’s authority, initiated disobedience and sin, and was cast from heaven. [For God’s Truth about the eternal end of this evil being, go to the section named He Protectively Warns.]

This created being is not the opposite of The Uncreated One Who Has Existed Eternally, The Holy One, The Perfect One.

Words cannot express how much higher God is than any created being.

When God created Man in His image, Man had no sin, since in God there is no sin.

Therefore, it is impossible for God to act with any impure motive or intention.

All God’s thoughts, words, actions, motives, intentions, and ways are absolutely, infinitely, immeasurably, eternally holy, perfect, and pure.

God, Who names Himself your Father, assures:

Numbers 23:19
19God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or regret [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

Habakkuk 2:3
3For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.

2 Corinthians 5:21
21For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

Hebrews 2:18
18For because He Himself [in His humanity] has suffered in being tempted (tested and tried [and yet He did not yield to temptation]), He is able [immediately] to run to the cry of (assist, relieve) those who are being tempted and tested and tried [and who therefore are being exposed to suffering].

Hebrews 4:15-16
15For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.
16Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

Jesus, Who perfectly represents the nature and character of God, continues:

John 7:17-18
17If any man desires to do His will (God's pleasure), he will know (have the needed illumination to recognize, and can tell for himself) whether the teaching is from God or whether I AM speaking from Myself and of My own accord and on My own authority.
18He who speaks on his own authority seeks to win honor for himself. [He whose teaching originates with himself seeks his own glory.] But He Who seeks the glory and is eager for the honor of Him Who sent Him, He is true; and there is no unrighteousness or falsehood or deception in Him.

Fathers of the faith explained:

Mark 12:14-17
14And they came up and said to Him, Teacher, we know that You are sincere and what You profess to be, that You cannot lie, and that You have no personal bias for anyone; for You are not influenced by partiality and have no regard for anyone's external condition or position, but in [and on the basis of] truth You teach the way of God. Is it lawful (permissible and right) to give tribute (poll taxes) to Caesar or not?
15Should we pay [them] or should we not pay [them]? But knowing their hypocrisy, He asked them, Why do you put Me to the test? Bring Me a coin (a denarius), so I may see it.
16And they brought [Him one]. Then He asked them, Whose image (picture) is this? And whose superscription (title)? They said to Him, Caesar's.
17Jesus said to them, Pay to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's. And they stood marveling and greatly amazed at Him.

John 3:31-33
31He Who comes from above (heaven) is [far] above all [others]; he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth, and talks the language of earth [his words are from an earthly standpoint]. He Who comes from heaven is [far] above all others [far superior to all others in prominence and in excellence].
32It is to what He has [actually] seen and heard that He bears testimony, and yet no one accepts His testimony [no one receives His evidence as true].
33Whoever receives His testimony has set his seal of approval to this: God is true. [That man has definitely certified, acknowledged, declared once and for all, and is himself assured that it is divine truth that God cannot lie].

Titus 1:1-4
1Paul, A bond servant of God and an apostle (a special messenger) of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) to stimulate and promote the faith of God's chosen ones and to lead them on to accurate discernment and recognition of and acquaintance with the Truth which belongs to and harmonizes with and tends to godliness,
2[Resting] in the hope of eternal life, [life] which the ever truthful God Who cannot deceive promised before the world or the ages of time began.

4To Titus, my true child according to a common (general) faith: Grace (favor and spiritual blessing) and [heart] peace from God the Father and the Lord Christ Jesus our Savior.

Hebrews 6:18-19
18This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us].
19[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it--a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil,
James 1:17
17Every good gift and every perfect ( free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].
1 Peter 2:22
22He (Jesus) was guilty of no sin, neither was deceit (deception, guile) ever found on His lips.

In contrast, Jesus said:

1 John 2:21-22

22Who is [such a] liar as he who denies that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah)? He is the antichrist (the antagonist of Christ), who [ habitually] denies and refuses to acknowledge the Father and the Son.

One of Holy Spirit’s Names is Spirit of Truth. Notice how many times this aspect of His character is mentioned in Jesus’ last words to His disciples:

John 14:All
1Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.
2In My Father's house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I AM going away to prepare a place for you.
3And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I AM you may be also.
4And [to the place] where I AM going, you know the way.
5Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?
6Jesus said to him, I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.
7If you had known Me [had learned to recognize Me], you would also have known My Father. From now on, you know Him and have seen Him.
8Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father [cause us to see the Father--that is all we ask]; then we shall be satisfied.
9Jesus replied, Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognize and know Me yet, Philip? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say then, Show us the Father?
10Do you not believe that I AM in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I AM telling you I do not say on My own authority and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the (His) works (His own miracles, deeds of power).
11Believe Me that I AM in the Father and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the [very] works themselves. [If you cannot trust Me, at least let these works that I do in My Father's Name convince you.]
12I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.
13And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.
14[Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you shall ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM].
15If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.
16And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever--
17The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.
18I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.
19Just a little while now, and the world will not see Me any more, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.
20At that time [when that day comes] you will know [for yourselves] that I AM in My Father, and you [are] in Me, and I [am] in you.
21The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]
22Judas, not Iscariot, asked Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself [make Yourself real] to us and not to the world?
23Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.
24Anyone who does not [really] love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but [comes] from the Father Who sent Me.
25I have told you these things while I AM still with you.
26But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My Name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
27Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]
28You heard Me tell you, I AM going away and I AM coming [back] to you. If you [really] loved Me, you would have been glad, because I AM going to the Father; for the Father is greater and mightier than I AM.
29And now I have told you [this] before it occurs, so that when it does take place you may believe and have faith in and rely on Me.
30I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]
31But [Satan is coming and] I do as the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know (be convinced) that I love the Father and that I do only what the Father has instructed Me to do. [I act in full agreement with His orders.] Rise, let us go away from here.

John 15:All
1 I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.
2Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.
3You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].
4Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.
5 I AM the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
6If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.
7If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
8When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.
9I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me].
10If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father's commandments and live on in His love.
11I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.
12This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.
13No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.
14You are My friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do.
15I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]
16You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.
17This is what I command you: that you love one another.
18If the world hates you, know that it hated Me before it hated you.
19If you belonged to the world, the world would treat you with affection and would love you as its own. But because you are not of the world [no longer one with it], but I have chosen (selected) you out of the world, the world hates (detests) you.
20Remember that I told you, A servant is not greater than his master [is not superior to him]. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word and obeyed My teachings, they will also keep and obey yours.
21But they will do all this to you [inflict all this suffering on you] because of [your bearing] My Name and on My account, for they do not know or understand the One Who sent Me.
22If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin [would be blameless]; but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23Whoever hates Me also hates My Father.
24If I had not done (accomplished) among them the works which no one else ever did, they would not be guilty of sin. But [the fact is] now they have both seen [these works] and have hated both Me and My Father.
25But [this is so] that the word written in their Law might be fulfilled, They hated Me without a cause.
26But when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me.
27But you also will testify and be My witnesses, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

John 16:All
1I have told you all these things, so that you should not be offended (taken unawares and falter, or be caused to stumble and fall away). [I told you to keep you from being scandalized and repelled.]
2They will put you out of (expel you from) the synagogues; but an hour is coming when whoever kills you will think and claim that he has offered service to God.
3And they will do this because they have not known the Father or Me.
4But I have told you these things now, so that when they occur you will remember that I told you of them. I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
5But now I AM going to Him Who sent Me, yet none of you asks Me, Where are You going?
6But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts [taken complete possession of them].
7However, I AM telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
8And when He comes, He will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God) and about judgment:
    9About sin, because they do not believe in Me [trust in, rely on, and adhere to Me];
    10About righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God), because I go to My Father, and you will see Me no longer;
11About judgment, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world [Satan] is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him.
12I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now.
13But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].
14He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
15Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
16In a little while you will no longer see Me, and again after a short while you will see Me.
17So some of His disciples questioned among themselves, What does He mean when He tells us, In a little while you will no longer see Me, and again after a short while you will see Me, and, Because I go to My Father?
18What does He mean by a little while? We do not know or understand what He is talking about.
19Jesus knew that they wanted to ask Him, so He said to them, Are you wondering and inquiring among yourselves what I meant when I said, In a little while you will no longer see Me, and again after a short while you will see Me?
20I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that you shall weep and grieve, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
21A woman, when she gives birth to a child, has grief (anguish, agony) because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she no longer remembers her pain (trouble, anguish) because she is so glad that a man (a child, a human being) has been born into the world.
22So for the present you are also in sorrow (in distress and depressed); but I will see you again and [then] your hearts will rejoice, and no one can take from you your joy (gladness, delight).
23And when that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me [you will need to ask Me no questions]. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that My Father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM].
24Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete.
25I have told you these things in parables (veiled language, allegories, dark sayings); the hour is now coming when I shall no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but I shall tell you about the Father in plain words and openly (without reserve).
26At that time you will ask (pray) in My Name; and I AM not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf [for it will be unnecessary].
27For the Father Himself [tenderly] loves you because you have loved Me and have believed that I came out from the Father.
28I came out from the Father and have come into the world; again, I AM leaving the world and going to the Father.
29His disciples said, Ah, now You are speaking plainly to us and not in parables (veiled language and figures of speech)!
30Now we know that You are acquainted with everything and have no need to be asked questions. Because of this we believe that you [really] came from God.
31Jesus answered them, Do you now believe? [Do you believe it at last?]
32But take notice, the hour is coming, and it has arrived, when you will all be dispersed and scattered, every man to his own home, leaving Me alone. Yet I AM not alone, because the Father is with Me.
33I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

Centuries ago, Moses wanted to experience I AM’s power, so he asked to see I AM’s glory.

Moses wanted to know I AM by seeing what He could do.

Knowing that relationship is greater than power, I AM responded to Moses, not by demonstrating the thunder of His glory, but by revealing the infinite height, depth, and width of His goodness.

As Moses grew in his understanding of I AM’s nature and character,

Moses learned that I AM named Himself Moses’ Father, and

His most excellent glory was His infinite goodness.

Today, God, the I AM, wants you to know that He doesn’t love you

based on how “good” you are or how well you “perform.”

He chose you, individually, as His child before the foundations of the earth.

It’s His eternal Truth that nothing you can do can “earn” more love from Him.

He loves you not for what you can do ― but for who you are ― because of Who He is.

Isaiah 30:18
18 And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are all those who [earnestly] wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him [for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship]!

Do you know that God, your Father, has waited your entire life for this moment?

Through His Spirit, He’s been calling you throughout your life, but many things prevented you from responding. Now, He has brought you to this website.

He knows you have questions, and He rejoices that you do have questions.

What loving Father doesn’t rejoice in His child’s questions? Questions and answers build relationship!

This moment, He is listening to you. He is looking at you. And He is smiling … with the same love He has held for you since He first breathed life into you.  Right now He is congratulating Himself on what an excellent job He did when He created you.

Might you be asking:

“God, can it be true that You name Yourself my Father? Can I really call You Father?”

“Can it be true that You want relationship with me?”

“Can it be true that You love me for who I am rather than for how well I “perform”?”

“Can it be true that I don’t have to be perfect in order to “earn” Your love ?”

God, your Father, wants you to know that He sent Jesus to earth to live as a Man for one purpose ― to die. For you.

God, your Father, initiated this plan. He sent Jesus with as much determination and intent as a military commander sends his troops to the front lines of battle.

And when Jesus shed His Blood, He accomplished everything necessary to restore you to the Father-child relationship that God your Father desires. Yes. That He desires.

Jesus is the only Way to relationship with Father God:

John 14:6
6Jesus said to him, I AM the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

If you are willing to move a little closer to God in relationship, pray this prayer:

“God. Father God. I can never be “good” enough to “earn” Your love. You know the choices I’ve made in my life. The Truth is that many of the choices I’ve made were my attempts to find love, to fill an unnamed emptiness inside me.”

“I am willing to be open-minded as I read the sections of this website about Jesus’ Mission, Jesus’ Sacrifice, and Jesus’ Exchanges.”

“As I do, would You please work in my life so that I know You really are listening and You really do desire relationship with me?

Would You please help me to know You and to understand what You are really like?”

“And since You love me for who I am, not for what I do, please help me to love You the same way in return. May I begin knowing You for Who You are instead of what You can do for me.  Amen.”

Now, expect to learn for yourself that your Father God’s most excellent glory is His infinite goodness.
